Yup,

It's a Bristol. I should have got that - it's got that classic Bristol shape.

My maths teacher, P Martin, had a convertible (and an Aston Martin). He was 4'3'' tall and had to put lengths of 4x3 under the seat so that he could see over the steering wheel. He and his chum, Dr Condon, who taught English, used to swanny around Oxford in it with the roof down during the summer and usually with a couple of very attractive women in the back. They told us they were from St Hildas College on the other side of Cowley Place but we knew they really got them from that secretarial college in St Aldates.

Can any of alumni from the aforesaid educational establishments, who might be reading this, remember two public school teachers cruising in either a Bristol or an Aston in Oxford, circa 1974?
