Thought-guided helicopter anyone?
Prof Bin He, who is behind new research, explains how it works.
Researchers have harnessed the power of thought to guide a remote-control helicopter through an obstacle course.
Users wear an electrode-lined skullcap which reads electrical activity on the surface of the head. The technology is being developed to control wheelchairs for quadriplegics. It is relatively easy to use as tests have shown users can master it after just two days training.
