The Millwall jump zone post Middlesbrough loss

Well that didn’t go to plan we’ve dropped a place.  Middlesbrough were the stronger team throughout.  I thought our approach was doomed to failure with out insistence of lobbing the ball up in the air in the high winds of Cold  Blow Lane.  THE CLUE’S IN THE STAND NAME LADS!!!

We were constantly returning the ball to Middlesbrough with a long ball forward or talentless pop-up passes.  If it’s windy keep the ball on the ground please.  It is terribly frustrating to watch especially in contrast to Middlesbrough’s clean, on the ground, passing.

Another point of frustration for me was the amount of times we passed back to David Forde committing him to a hoof upfield rather than carefully building an attack from the back.  Our defence, Dunne, Robinson, Malone and Beevers would you please try and become more confident on the ball?  You are there and stand your ground when under attack, brilliant! But a little more willingness to link with the midfield I feel would work wonders.

Well done The Middlesbrough team for holding up Stuart Parnaby’s shirt following their deep family difficulties, best wishes to him and his family.  Perhaps there is some way the Referees can become more flexible when teams a clearly showing heartfelt support for one of their team members.  Save the yellow cards for an on field incident not an off field one.
